Exploratory Workshop "Marine Genomics meets Marine Diversity"
This week an international workshop will be held at the Bremen Max Planck Institute. From 8 – 9 June twenty invited speakers from eleven countries will present state of the art results on marine microbial diversity and genome research.
There will be five sessions covering:
1. Diversity
2. Genomics
3. Ecology
4. Technology
5. Bioinformatics
This workshop is funded by the European Commission and part of the activities of a large Network of Excellence called “Marine Genomics Europe” (www.marine-genomics-europe.org). It aims to bring together scientists from different disciplines to define future challenges in marine research and potential collaborative projects.
